About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will have:

This subject covers the principles of classical physics, which relate to engineering and metallurgy as well as physical, biological and health sciences. Content will include: linear and circular motion, vectors, dynamics of mass and weight, friction, motion in resistive fluids (terminal velocities), energy and energy transfer, conservative and non-conservative forces, potential and forces, momentum and its conservation, collisions, calculations of centres of mass, rotational kinematics, torque and vector products, angular momentum, universal gravitation and planetary motion, fluid pressure, buoyancy, Bernoulli's equation, oscillatory motion, mechanical waves, waves and the wave equation, harmonics and musical instruments, electricity and magnetism, electric field calculations, electric potential and charge distribution, capacitance, dielectric materials, DC circuits, electric power, RC circuits, magnetic fields, forces on a moving charge, cyclotrons and synchrotrons.

Each of your subjects will be held over the course of a study term, and they’ll usually require 10 to 12 hours of study each week. Subjects are identified by a title and a code, for example, Developmental Psychology, PSY20007.

If that degree allows entry via undergraduate subjects, there will be information about this under the Entry Requirements section. You will find a list of 2-4 open enrolment subjects you need to successfully complete to qualify for admission into that qualification.
Once you pass those subjects, you will satisfy the academic requirements for the degree, and you can apply for entry.
