About this subject

  • On successful completion of the unit you should be able to: 

    1. examine the Australian health care system in the context of alternative models
    2. evaluate the main stages in the public policy making process
    3. contrast theoretical perspectives in public policy analysis, including economic, political science, sociological and public health perspectives
    4. analyse policies affecting the health workforce and the influences of public health
    5. critique health policies in relation to disadvantaged groups
    6. hypothesise future health priorities and needed policy reform.
