About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students would be able to:

    1. Communicate using mathematical language appropriate to university culture and the wider community
    2. Critically analyse, interpret and communicate information and ideas represented in numerical form and embedded in a range of academic texts and/or contexts from everyday life
    3. Apply mathematical skills, concepts and foundational knowledge within relevant, higher education and real-life contexts
    4. Utilise reflection on mindset, attitudes and behaviours regarding math learning to implement effective learning strategies
    5. Apply a range of independent and collaborative learning skills such as time management, self-regulation, social and emotional learning, effective communication, and teamwork.
