About this subject

  • At the completion of this subjects, students will be able to:

    1. Adopt appropriate critical strategies for the analysis of craft, technique and effect in nonfiction;
    2. Identify and productively integrate key ecological and social concepts into written and oral work;
    3. Enhance reading, writing, research and oral presentation skills;
    4. Compose several pieces of conceptually developed writing; and
    5. Reflecting on process, provide constructive feedback on students’ writing in a workshop context.

You must have successfully completed the following subject(s) before starting this subject:

  • MAQ-ENGX231-Writing: From Manuscript to the Digital Age (no longer available)

  • MAQ-ENGX233-Creative Writing 2: Concept and Practice (no longer available)

    Prerequisites: Two units from ENGX231 or ENGX233 or ENGX236

    Students who have an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion under Macquarie University's Academic Progression Policy are not permitted to enrol in OUA units offered by Macquarie University. Students with an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion who have enrolled in units through OUA will be withdrawn.
