About this subject

  • On successful completion you will be able to:

    1. Develop elementary level skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking in the Spanish language.
    2. Identify, describe and evaluate a few aspects of Spanish-speaking cultures and societies.
    3. Identify, evaluate and deploy the grammatical structures of Spanish at elementary level.
    4. Apply relevant language conventions to create meaningful intercultural encounters.
    5. Demonstrate an awareness of some language and language use in both Spanish and English.

    Students who have an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion under Macquarie University's Academic Progression Policy are not permitted to enrol in OUA units offered by Macquarie University. Students with an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion who have enrolled in units through OUA will be withdrawn.
