About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. Understand key themes and developments in modern European history from 1789-2001
    2. Think critically and analytically about the past
    3. Identify key historical and historiographical interpretations about the past
    4. Analyse and interpret a range of historical sources
    5. Develop a coherent and integrative historical argument
    6. Communicate effectively in written, oral and digital forms
