About this subject

  • On successful completion you will be able to

    1. Demonstrate research and study skills (developed through planning research assignments, achieving study goals, and meeting deadlines).
    2. Apply communication, interpersonal and team skills in written assignments and by working with fellow students on group tasks and discussions on assignment tasks.
    3. Apply information technology skills through practical assignments and using the web-based elements of the unit.
    4. Demonstrate critical thinking skills through discussion of competing theories of psychological phenomena .
    5. Display an appreciation of Ethical Issues from class discussions and participating in research.
    6. Demonstrate knowledge of a broad range of key concepts in pschology.

  • Other requirements - Students who have an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion under Macquarie University's Academic Progression Policy are not permitted to enrol in OUA units offered by Macquarie University. Students with an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion who have enrolled in units through OUA will be withdrawn.
