  On successful completion of this subject, you will be able to:

  
  

  1. Locate and examine the effects of colonialism on Indigenous genders and sexualities.
  2. Communicate effectively, in a range of written and spoken formats, within the conventions of the discipline of Indigenous Studies.
  3. Demonstrate a sensitive approach to the topics of gender and sexuality in relation to indigenous peoples.
  4. Analyse key texts including indigenous Queer authors and indigenous Queer subject matter.

  Students who have an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion under Macquarie University's Academic Progression Policy are not permitted to enrol in OUA units offered by Macquarie University. Students with an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion who have enrolled in units through OUA will be withdrawn.
