About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. Apply skills in relation to craft and technique to the writing of short-form fiction
    2. Critique and evaluate their own creative writing processes
    3.  Critique and evaluate their own creative writing processes
    4. Utilise technical creative writing terms, vocabulary and narrative studies in discussion
    5. Undertake close reading and analysis of literary and theoretical texts
    6. Appraise and critique students’ creative writing in a workshop environment

    Students who have an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion under Macquarie University's Academic Progression Policy are not permitted to enrol in OUA units offered by Macquarie University.
