About this subject

  • On successful completion of this subject, you will be able to

    1. demonstrate a sound understanding of the major ethical issues posed by specific biotechnological advances.
    2. analyse and critically evaluate relevant case studies and scientific contexts, as well as theories and arguments in the relevant literature.
    3. develop and apply skills and concepts involved in ethical reasoning and argumentation to past, current and future controversies in biotechnological and other sciences
    4. construct sound arguments in support of your own ethical positions, judgements and values.
    5. Express in written communication with improved clarity of thought, expression, and argumentation.
