About this subject

  • On completion of the subject you will be able to:

    1. Analyse the history and development of public and private organisations in the delivery of public safety
    2. Examine the complexities of private/public sector safety and security relationships 
    3. Critically evaluate the role and function of government in providing opportunities for the pluralisation in policing
    4. Evaluate the delivery of law enforcement services in differing public settings
    5. Evaluate the delivery of policing in differing private settings

    Students who have an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion under Macquarie University's Academic Progression Policy are not permitted to enrol in OUA units offered by Macquarie University. Students with an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion who have enrolled in units through OUA will be withdrawn.
