About this subject

  • On successful completion of this subject, you will be able to:

    1. Analyse the nature of terrorism in the modern period of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
    2. Apply key scholarly and historiographical concepts related to an understanding of modern terrorism in assessment tasks.
    3. Interpret relevant primary sources and secondary materials relevant to the history of terrorism. 
    4. Construct evidence-based arguments about the history of terrorism in written and oral, visual or digital forms.

    Students who have an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion under Macquarie University's Academic Progression Policy are not permitted to enrol in OUA units offered by Macquarie University. Students with an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion who have enrolled in units through OUA will be withdrawn.
