About this subject

  • After successfully completing this degree you should be able to:

    1. Appraise the contribution that research makes to evidence-based practice.
    2. Understand the research process and the basic elements of research design.
    3. Examine the role of qualitative and quantitative methods for conducting research.
    4. Discuss legal and ethical principles that apply when conducting research.
    5. Critically evaluate research reports and synthesise findings applicable to professional practice
    6. Understand selected analysis techniques used in qualitative and quantitative research.
    7. Critically examine conceptual and philosophical dimensions of research.
