About this subject
- Produce a portfolio of evidence, including identification of appropriate referees, to effectively address a financial services internship or graduate position description and selection criteria.
- Implement reflective practice techniques to apply your knowledge of workplace rights and responsibilities, including those under the Corporations Act 2001, other legislation and financial services regulation.
- Demonstrate a range of generic and behavioural skills required to be an effective professional, including the application of ethical communication in negotiation and managing conflict.
- Apply theory, including Utilitarian, Deontological and Virtue ethical frameworks, to decision-making in financial advice scenarios.
- Relate leadership behaviours and traits to upholding and promoting the FASEA Code of Ethics and advancement of the financial advice profession.

Students continue career planning with a focus on workplace expectations, understanding how professional organisations work, including compliance procedures, application of the FASEA Code of Ethics and the use of fintech. Students develop familiarity with roles within financial planning practices (admin, paraplanner, advice, management) through interactions with professionals and observations of client-professional relationships in practice.
This is a restricted subject for students in the Bachelor of Applied Financial Advice and is only a 5 credit point subject.
