Interdisciplinary Professional Ethics

About this subject

  • HSV733 aims to provide students from a variety of disciplines the opportunity to explore the ethical dimensions of practice, in recognition that an interdisciplinary ethics approach best equips future practitioners to make informed decisions with an increased awareness of potentially different value positions. The subject will provide students with foundation knowledge of ethical principles and theories, explore practical ethics within the professions, introduce ethical decision making models and processes and invite critical thinking on key ethical issues that are relevant in the health and human services. The subject aims to develop skills in critical analysis, reflection and ethical decision-making and to equip students to perform ethically within a professional environment.
