About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. Compare the pros and cons of self-employment and employment
    2. Identify and apply the process of getting ready, starting, growing and exiting small business
    3. Evaluate the strategic aspects of managing either a franchised or independent small business
    4. Analyse the major operational aspects of franchised and independent small businesses
    5. Create a market entry plan for a new franchise or independent small business.
