About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of international management concepts and models
- Demonstrate an understanding of management issues in a global context
- Identify relevant information and evaluate it from different managerial and cultural perspectives
- Compare strengths and weaknesses of different international management practices
- Work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.

This subject is focused upon the study of management in an international context. It examines and compares management practices of different types of organisations, across countries and cultures. The study of comparative management requires a basic understanding of organisational behaviour in a highly competitive global marketplace. The subject considers management functions and manager skills including similarities and differences between domestic and international management.
Students will be required to work in small groups and complete an oral presentation as part of one assessment task.
