About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. Discuss appropriate theories, models and other tools that are used to ensure the effective screening of new venture ideas, for their potential viability and fulfillment of private and social objectives.
    2. Apply the processes of clarifying and elaborating new venture ideas.
    3. Develop the underlying marketing plan, operation plan, human resource plan, and financial plan and take steps to mitigate the risks associated with new venture idea.
    4. Communicate a new venture idea to potential investors, lenders, and business partners, both via written and oral communication.
