About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. identify and discuss key concepts and techniques central to the reading and writing of poems
    2. apply knowledge of poetry and poetics to the completion of a series of poetry writing and analysis exercises
    3. produce a series of poems, of differing lengths, that demonstrate appropriate application of key concepts
    4. critically appraise work-in-progress by peers and synthesise and reflect on constructive criticism of their own work.
