Urban Design Research Methods
About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- identify, study and apply methods of research to investigate existing urban contexts and sites
- formulate and communicate urban design processes and data sets from local and international sources
- communicate the Urban design project through production and presentation of drawings and models

Students will investigate techniques of ideation and methods to develop and present an urban design solution based upon the analyses and understanding of urban contexts being studied in the co-requisite Urban Design Research Studio.
Work Integrated Learning will be incorporated throughout the subject by using a mode of teaching where design activity will take place in workshop situations/ on sites/ simulation of the real world project.

You must either have successfully completed the following subject(s) before starting this subject, or enrol in the following subject(s) to study at the same time or prior to this subject:

CUR-MAA403 (Not currently available)
Others
Students who have completed MAA407(previously MAA403) PRIOR to 2015 are not required to enrol into its co-requisite MAA408 as it was previously counted as double subject.

Study load
- 0.125 EFTSL
- This is in the range of 10 to 12 hours of study each week.
