About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. identify and critically discuss a number of contemporary travel writers and a range of travel writing
    2. apply their understanding of the travel writing genre to the completion of a series of writing exercises, each designed to illuminate an aspect of prose composition
    3. explain the process and framework of freelance professional travel writing
    4. produce a substantial and carefully written travel story/feature/essay.
