About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- evaluate the features and functions, and the important social and professional issues related to technology for information services
- assess and apply information management technologies to successfully complete a range of information profession-related tasks
- research and contextualise the practical application and theoretical issues raised by evolving technological tools in information management services
- communicate effectively using scholarly writing, written reports, multimedia, and social media
- demonstrate an appropriate understanding of academic integrity principles and apply academic writing, referencing and acknowledgement conventions required for the discipline.

The use, evaluation and communication of technologies to maintain and improve information services. Examines the practical and operational application of computing infrastructure, data provision and maintenance; and user experience and interfaces, within the disciplinary use by librarians, records managers and archivists.
