About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- critically analyse the concepts underpinning sustainable development
- analyse the impacts that construction has on social, economic and environmental issues
- evaluate strategies that have been developed to enable construction to achieve sustainable outcomes.

An examination of the impacts that construction activities have on the environment, society and the economy and how sustainable development affects the way the construction industry operates. Strategies to address the key issues of sustainability are investigated and developed.
