About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- evaluate information objects according to content, context, or structure
- derive classifications and subject headings using international conventions
- create library-focused metadata records using international standards in a digital environment
- produce documentation for library metadata processes and procedures.
- A week-by-week guide to the topics you will explore in this subject will be provided in your study materials.
Application of information theories, principles and technology in resource description and access in libraries and information centres. Development of skills in resource description and access through the use of classification and subject schemes.
