About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. appraise the various bibliographic devices used to provide access to material in a variety of subjects and formats
    2. apply the principles of conducting an effective reference interview in context
    3. apply principles of advanced and specialised forms of subject indexing, including citation indexing
    4. plan and conduct effective subject searches using automated formats
    5. apply principles of user education philosophy and practice in a variety of library settings.
