About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. define records management as a discipline and describe the various roles and services offered by records managers
    2. synthesise theories and practices of records management and apply in context
    3. evaluate the needs of a site and communicate appropriate records management practices
    4. communicate and participate professionally in a business context about theories and practices in the management of recordkeeping and archives services.

    Students are required to attend two site visits, in their State/Territory, organised by the Unit Coordinator. Details for each visit will be published in the Unit Outline at the beginning of the Study Period. Alternative options will be provided if you are unable to attend the visit organised for you.
