About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. identify concepts, themes and semiotic methodologies of screen analysis
    2. appraise themes, concepts and styles in past and present cinemas
    3. apply discipline knowledge and critical skills to the analysis of past and present cinematic works
    4. synthesise knowledge and skills of semiotic film analysis and present outcomes in writing and orally.
