About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. critique and apply knowledge of multiple pedagogies in early childhood settings as applied to children age 6-8 years in school based settings
    2. plan and implement quality learning activities that include links to relevant curriculum and assessment and are rigorous, engaging and appropriate to years 1-3 of primary school
    3. critically examine the role of the teacher including the concepts of professional conduct, knowledge, identity and resilience
    4. apply knowledge about learning and assessment in a professional field placement.
