About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. describe the factors that influence the creation and maintenance of supportive and safe learning environments for diverse students and for staff
    2. appraise different theoretical approaches to classroom management
    3. create a personal management plan that synthesises and explains a range of ideas for developing and implementing proactive and reactive management strategies in diverse contexts
    4. develop an outline of policies and practices to manage challenging situations
    5. demonstrate skills in creating and managing positive learning environments in a classroom setting that support effective teaching and learning.
