About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. engage competently and respectfully with diverse cultures as well as the contextual, creative and professional practices of a workplace
    2. demonstrate an innovative, creative or entrepreneurial approach in finding a placement and/or dealing with a challenge or opportunity during the practicum
    3. reflect upon the application of skills and theory in a professional or creative context
    4. communicate outcomes of practicum for potential employers, patrons or funding agencies in a globally engaging way

  • Placement requirements - Students are expected to research host organisations to understand their potential for offering a suitable practicum or project experience. Before commencing a placement, they are also expected to research the history, mission and operational context of their host organisation and their position or department in the organisation.
