About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. critically reflect on paradigms of thought from key contributory disciplines that underpin contemporary sustainability theory
    2. apply constructs from sustainability theory in order to change the form and content of public policy, planning and management
    3. apply computer technologies to critically analyse and represent creative tensions of cultural, social, economic and ecological dimensions of sustainability
    4. express orally and in writing key sustainability concepts to a target audience
    5. recognise the uncertainty and complexity of social ecological systems and work collaboratively to transform them in order to manage the transition to sustainability.
