About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. research and explain contemporary literacy and numeracy theories, pedagogies and practices
    2. examine the literacy and numeracy demands and conventions across and within the curriculum
    3. evaluate and recommend a variety of teaching and learning strategies for numeracy and literacy within disciplines
    4. use discipline based literacy and numeracy research and models to create a learning plan that addresses the literacy and numeracy demands within a selected learning area.
