About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. define library studies as a discipline and describe the roles and services of libraries and librarians
    2. analyse professional issues raised within the international, historical, legislative, policy and ethical framework of librarianship
    3. synthesise theories, principles and standards of international best practices in librarianship with professional application through investigation of a library service
    4. communicate effectively in a professional and academic environment.
