About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. demonstrate knowledge of the English curriculum and principles associated with effective teaching in the early years
    2. interpret and apply theory of children’s literacy development
    3. select appropriate content, assessment items, teaching strategies and resources in relation to the Australian Curriculum (or local curriculum documents)
    4. plan, structure and sequence English learning programs.
