About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. review global nutrition issues related to maternal and child health, and the health of vulnerable populations, and determine the scope and outcome of international nutrition programs
    2. appraise the role of social, political, economic and environmental factors in the causation of hunger and malnutrition
    3. appraise research priorities and policy considerations in international nutrition
    4. assess the nutritional status of vulnerable populations.
