About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- evaluate key art, design and philosophical design movements and their influence on the development of the discipline
- analyse local contexts for Interior Design, identifying national and international influences
- examine the methodologies and communication techniques of key practitioners that can be applied to the design process
- recognise regional challenges and opportunities available in the international design industry.

Students will explore and debate regional and international design history and theories and their contextual influences and examine key art, design and philosophical movements and their external influences through the identification of key practitioners and their methodologies. Opportunities and challenges within the realms of creative practice in each region will be identified.
