Improving Practice through Action Learning and Research
About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- examine teaching and/or subject evaluations to identify areas of improvement in teaching practice or the student experience
- use appropriate action research methodologies to design and implement an action learning project that addresses an identified issue or need
- evaluate the results of the action learning project and develop a plan for the modification of the teaching-learning process in a nominated subject/degree.

This subject uses action research methodologies to enable participants to gain fresh insights and better understanding of the teaching and learning environment in a tertiary context. Students will be lead in identifying significant issues and authentic needs in professional practice. Students will undertake action research studies in their teaching environments using appropriate action research theories. Action learning.
