About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. critically evaluate and analyse the processes of globalisation and the key theoretical and conceptual ideas relating to global cities and their regions
    2. develop and apply technical skills and ethical practices required to collate, manage and analyse empirical information on cities and regions
    3. critically identify and assess the interrelationships between cities and their regions and communicate complex research data and ideas through different media using a range of technologies
    4. evaluate the core concepts of spatial distance and social isolation in cities
    5. synthesise the analytical skills by evaluating and reporting on a specfic Global City challenge.
