About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- apply appropriate construction, environmental and management strategies to a moderately complex architectural project in an urban context
- evaluate construction, environmental and management strategies required at different stages of design
- integrate appropriate construction, environmental and management strategies into the design of an existing moderately complex architectural project,
- analyse appropriate strategies in order to refine the existing moderately complex architectural project.

This subject was previously known as BAS340 Environmental and Technological Systems in Architecture 2.
This subject explores construction, environmental and management strategies for application in the design of moderately complex, medium scale and medium rise architectural projects. Students are engaged in developing and applying the written and drawn communication skills, organisational skills and decision making processes required for professional practice. Work integrated learning is incorporated through authentic learning activities focused on application of a range of skills and strategies pertinent to design and construction of architecture that simulate the real world projects and workplaces.
