Engineering Materials for the Resources Industry

About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. recommend engineering materials strengthening processes for a range of resources industry related applications
    2. recommend materials properties management measures for achieving application-specific properties of engineering materials
    3. justify appropriate measures to prevent failure of materials in load-bearing and protective applications (i.e. coatings), including mechanical failure and corrosion
    4. specify design measures and properties considerations for selection of materials for the resources industry applications.

Entry requirements

To enrol in this subject, you must be admitted into a degree.
