About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. research early literacy contexts and interactions through a self-generated research question and apply research processes to the design of literacy rich environments for children from diverse backgrounds
    2. create differentiated literacy learning experiences for young children
    3. examine the relationship between home literacy practices and early literacy learning
    4. interpret children’s literacy learning by analysing theoretical perspectives and play-based pedagogies.
