About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. examine and evaluate ways in which children's health and wellbeing can be maintained in educational settings
    2. appraise a range of strategies designed to manage challenging behaviours that respect children's rights and align with professional ethics and responsibilities
    3. develop strategies for establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with children and their families
    4. develop a repertoire of research-based strategies that support all children's participation in learning
    5. demonstrate an understanding of plagiarism, paraphrasing and the principles of Academic Integrity

To enrol in this subject you must be accepted into one of the following degrees:

Core

  • CUR-PRI-MAS-2023 - Master of Teaching (Primary Education)
  • CUR-MTE-MAS-2023 - Master of Teaching (Early Childhood Education)

Elective

  • CUR-EDU-GCE-2023 - Graduate Certificate in Education

Additional requirements

  • Other requirements - Access to Microsoft Office or a unit approved alternative, access to video creation and editing software.
