About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. review and compare precedents to generate spatial ideas and forms in response to brief, users, and built purpose.
    2. critically evaluate complex design options in response to site, functional requirements, and cultural contexts.
    3. integrate knowledge of industry codes, structures and services in a complex building proposal.

To enrol in this subject, you must be admitted into a degree.

You must either have successfully completed the following subject(s) before starting this subject, or enrol in the following subject(s) to study at the same time or prior to this subject:

  • CUR-MAA411-Complex Buildings Research Methods (no longer available)

Equivalent subjects

You should not enrol in this subject if you have successfully completed any of the following subject(s) because they are considered academically equivalent:

  • CUR-MAA406 (Not currently available)

Others

Students who have completed MAA409 (previously MAA406) PRIOR to 2015 are not required to enrol into its co-requisite MAA411 as it was previously counted as double subject.
