This subject consists of the application of business skills and theoretical principles to clinical operational management of a health service. The subject examines the critical role of clinical managers in achieving health service outcomes at a strategic level. It examines the application of health policy, health economics and legislation to the delivery of health care, the intersection of organisational planning and health service planning, the application of systems thinking, evidence based clinical and management practice.
