About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. identify and apply the concepts, approaches and applications of Building Information Modelling in construction management
    2. analyse the issues and challenges of implementing Building Information Modelling in construction management projects
    3. evaluate and demonstrate the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) as a tool for improving processes as applied to the role of the Construction Manager.

Additional requirements

  • Software requirements - Software purchase required - Audio video equipment required. As part of this subject students are required to use Autodesk, NavisWorks and iConstruct. These software programs only works on a PC, but is possible for use on a Mac (with modifications and a small cost to students). All details are provided throughout the subject and your tutor will assist you with this during the subject.
