About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- reflect upon and refine knowledge and research strategies related to the topic
- analyse field study data to develop research findings
- integrate data and findings to produce a final dissertation
- communicate and defend research findings to industry experts.
- As this unit is an individual research project - there are no set topics and students will be provided assistance each week through a supervisor.
Students will be engaged in an independent research process under a supervision. They will think critically as they handle a research problem, and as they further develop the research proposal they have presented prior. Students will explore scholarly materials and develop conceptual solutions through intellectual reasoning and critiquing. They will develop and use clear methodologies to collect and analyse data quantitatively and qualitatively. Students will construct new knowledge and discuss the place of their new constructs in existing knowledge. Students will write a dissertation and present their research findings orally.
*** In order to enrol in this subject, you must have been invited and accepted into the Honours Stream of the Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) degree. ***
