About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. apply constructive lending practices with due consideration of appropriate forms of finance, loan pricing, collateral types and the interactive relationship between different banking activities, structures and risks
    2. apply knowledge of credit risk assessment principles and processes to conduct proficient credit risk assessment
    3. analyse lending portfolio information to detect intrinsic and concentration credit risk and to make reasoned judgement that is appropriate to the circumstances 
    4. create constructive lending solutions and loan portfolio management
    5. evaluate the practices of Islamic banks and conventional banks in terms of lending principles and different forms of finance
