About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- investigate, manipulate and test spatial typologies using data collection, drawings, modelling and photography
- use digital and physical modelling to explore, test, refine and present a project
- reflect upon and communicate ideas and design processes.

This subject was previously known as Architecture and Spatial Grammar Methods.
This subject informs the architectural design process and investigates the relationships and translations between digital and physical modelling, drawing, and photography, and their application in design. Work Integrated Learning is incorporated through reflecting the design process in practice.
This subject has BAS140 Architecture Habitation Studio and BAS145 Architectural Habitation Methods as mandatory prerequisites. If you have completed BAS140 prior to 2015, you are not required to enrol into BAS145 as BAS140 was previously counted as double subject. Please get a prerequisite waiver from Curtin to proceed with enrolment in BAS205.

If you study the prerequisite subject(s) in the study period immediately prior to studying this subject, your result for the prerequisite subject(s) will not be finalised prior to the close of enrolment. In this situation, should you not complete your prerequisite subject(s) successfully you should not continue with your enrolment in this subject. If you are currently enrolled in the prerequisite subject(s) and believe you may not complete these all successfully, it is your responsibility to reschedule your study of this subject to give you time to re-attempt the prerequisite subject(s).
Others
Students who have completed BAS200 PRIOR to 2015 are not required to enrol into its co-requisite BAS205 as it was previously counted as double subject. From 2015, BAS200 must be enrolled at same time.
