About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- express regional and communal values, aspirations, and meaning in architectural design
- apply knowledge of regional commsubjecty to generate architectural form
- design a medium scale building with public engagement that responds to site and place.

This subject was previously known as Architecture Contexts Studio.
This subject investigates the impact of the physical and social context of a regional community on the design of a building and building groups. The design proposition is a medium scale public building in established regional settlements which provides students with an opportunity to understand local regions, their histories and to explore their potential futures. Work integrated learning is incorporated through exploring a range of complex social, regional and environmental factors in the production of architecture.
