About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- interpret spatial design and place making through conjectures in response to site opportunities and constraints
- generate ideas and concepts as the basis for designing small projects in terms of space, form and structure
- explore, interpret and synthesis space, form and inhabitation, recognising human culture as manifest in the built environment.

This subject was previously known as Architecture Studio.
This subject examines the relationship between idea, space, form and structure as it is related to human culture and a specific site. It engages in analysis, interpretation and creation of architectural language of the built environment through small projects using methods of communication concurrently being developed in other subjects. Work integrated learning is introduced through developing and understanding of the design process in architectural practice.

In this studio unit(s) students are required to purchase a number of specific items for hand drawing, sketching and presenting. These supplies will continue to be used and required throughout the course.
Study load
